AWAKENED LIVES: ABRAHAM AND ST. JOSEPH
What are our lives' defining moments? What moved our hearts from stagnation to significance? What is currently moving our hearts?
SURPRISING SADNESS
We may be invited to wait where things seem difficult or painful, yet turn to Christ. The God of surprises will bring greater life in ways we least expect.
STANDING WITH THE MARGINALIZED
I have come to experience that Jesus is always inviting us to gather people, not necessarily ‘convert’ them.
ACCEPTING OUR BROKENNESS - AND LIVING IT
Jesus invited us to embrace our brokenness as he embraced the cross and live it as part of our mission
THE ILLUMINATING PROMISES of GOD’s LOVE
How is God walking with you in the promises he has made to you? In what ways is he cultivating your heart into a garden?
STANDING ROOM ONLY
When my prayer begins to feel like a narrow corner with no escape, perhaps I am the one who boxed God in and not the other way around.
ALLOWING OURSELVES TO BE HEALED
During this Lenten season, let us listen to Jesus’ question, “Do you want to be well?”
SADNESS & JOY
I experienced a joyful funeral that helped me welcome anew other deaths in my life.
JESUS, BE WITH ME
When I position myself to listen and look at Him in the most vulnerable part of my day, I am intentionally and gently acknowledging my friendship and need for Him.
GOD-SUFFICIENCY
Do I overlook my own sinfulness and control God's favor over me by doing things for Christ instead of with Christ?
STUBBORN LOVE
God reminds me – urges me – to come back to God even in my abandonment of God..
SITTING WITH THE SPACE BETWEEN
I found that Jesus was right there in the midst of it. He was not running away or shunning these moments from happening.
EXAMPLE OF MERCY
God accepts us just as we are. He receives and invites us to greater transformation, forgiveness, and a deeper more loving way of life.
ENOUGH ALREADY?
Once centered on me, my thoughts and prayer drift towards God, and I worry less about what is enough.
THE CALL TO CHRISTIAN POVERTY AND SIMPLICITY
But it’s the resurrection that makes sense of it all. It reminds me to stake my security on something that can’t be taken by fire or flood or earthquake.
LOVE NEVER TIRES OF LOVING
Love cannot bear being locked up in itself. By its nature it is open, it spreads and bears fruit, it always kindles new love.
HOLDING ON TIGHTLY
Sometimes, our heroic Lenten intentions ends up feeling like treading water...
STEP ONE: PAY ATTENTION
God invites me to come, as I am, to be with those God loves the most. This means that God is guiding me to see the world as God sees it.
PENNY FOR YOUR WISHES
How are my wishes different from what God wishes of me? How can I slow down this Lent and appreciate God’s wish for me instead of expecting things of Him?
