Visio Divina or “sacred seeing” is an ancient form of Christian prayer similar to Lectio Divina. We are invited to encounter God through images. We let a sacred image draw our hearts and imagination to help us listen, meditate, and savor what God wants to show us visually and interiorly. Click on the 10’ video below for the audioguide and look at the image to pray.
IGNATIAN NOTING
Take a few minutes to journal about these questions:
What feeling(s) or realization(s) did the image stir in me?
How might the Lord be speaking to me OR what might he want to show me?
What hopes or expectations am I bringing to the retreat? I speak to the Lord about them and listen with my heart.
