Love Lifts Up and Grace Comes Down
O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.
Save me from the noise and voices,
that try to delay me from Your plans,
distract me from your love,
and derail me from hope.
O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.
I am yours, a child of God, a child of Love.
Help me become aware of your peace,
the stillness and comfort that comes with solitude,
and welcome the silence that holds me.
O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.
You are my safe space, my safe place,
in which I can rest and laugh,
cry and reflect,
suffer and struggle and still find joy.
O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.
Your peace speaks volumes wherever I go,
the nourishment that stays with me in communion;
when I am with community - and have a sense of belonging;
side by side with the people I love.
O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.
Your answers to my prayers, always
yes, no, not yet, I have something better for you,
keep my hope alive because my life is great when I am with you.
We have yet to experience the best days of our life together.
O Lord, my God, in you I take refuge.
That your Will be done.
I invite your Love to permeate my life,
your warmth hugging the cracks in my heart.
In giving you all of my pieces, you've made me whole.
