FORGIVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
Love. Sin. Repent. Repeat.
BE STILL AND LISTEN
God asks us to be still, silent, and listen, not to patronize or control us but to ground us in his mercy and love.
GOD’S CONTEXT
With the context of God's love, I can more easily acknowledge him saying “let me help you problem solve, let me help you love.”
SEEKING MERCY, EMBRACING FORGIVENESS
If I am to be a disciple, a follower of Jesus, then I am called to embrace forgiving.
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART (GOD) IS
When we don’t believe & see ourselves as beloved children, we become slaves to a conditional way of relating to God, myself & others.
WE ARE ALL GOD’S BELOVED CHILDREN
Whether my mistakes were akin to squandering an inheritance or feeling envy or frustration with another, God loved me through it all.
WONDER OVER JEALOUSY
I can wonder second-hand at the wonder of another and it is even more beautiful than me seeing the same thing myself.
COMPASSION IN ACTION
When I reflect and connect the dots of my life, I can identify how God's love and grace have sustained me through and through.
LOVE’S DESIRE FOR GREATNESS
I will not always get it right, but I trust it will be greater than we imagined.
TO BE EYELASH TO EYELASH
How can we align our values with our actions and move towards being eyelash to eyelash with the poor and marginalized?
EAT THE CHOCOLATE!
The traditions of fasting and abstaining are practices I avoid after living for too many years fasting and abstaining for the wrong reasons.
LOVE YOUR ENEMIES - BUT HOW?
On the other side of the enemy was someone who was longing to be seen, to be accepted, to be loved.
LEARNING TO TRUST THE LORD
Lord, help me to let go of anger and resentments, and to trust in your mercy.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES WITH MASS
The Catholic Church was never intended to be a rigid and exclusive club for the righteous and perfect, but an accommodating hospital for sinners like me.
BABBLING AWAY…
My Lenten prayer is that seeds of love, hope, and truth might take root in my heart and flourish in the world.
DO YOU SEE ME?
Jesus’s question “Do you see me?” is not one of judgment but one of accompaniment.
AN INVITATION TO HONEST CONVERSATION
Are you willing to have an honest conversation with God this Lent?
